I'm not really into the whole lambo craze. I really dig the suicide door kits though. I'm getting my new paint job (kandi green is changing to chameleon blue o gold to green) in a couple months and I will definitley be suiciding my doors, and shaving my handles along with it. That's just what I like though and my opinion.

if i had a 2door i'd def. put suicides on them. buuuuut, i'm suck with a 4door. don't hardly see that many 4door blazers w/ lambos. especially not around where i live, nobody has lambo doors.

I agree with you mikey, a 4 door just wouldnt look right with lambo's. If you want to trick out your doors with out doing something wild like a lambo, then why dont you shave the handles? That would be a clean looking mod for any vehicle. Those kits from a good brand like autoloc go for about $150 for a 15 lb. kit which is perfect for a blazer. Then just see your local shop on how much they will charge for bodywork and maybe installation if you don't want to do it yourself.

well, i was all about lambos until i saw how hard they were to install. i think i've changed my view on that subject. now the door poppers/shaved handles i like. if i could weld, i'd put them on myself.

Yeah man those shaved handles look killer on blazers. Gives it a real nice streamlined, and clean look! There are a few kits out that are bolt on as far as the door poppers go. That part you might be able to do yourself, but I wouldn't reccomend unless you have experience with door lock/unlock assemblies and poppers, it can be somewhat tricky for a newcomer. I'm not sure how much a shop will charge you to do the whole job, but I'm sure it's going to be less than lambo's.

your welcome. Yes its a lot "easier" but for a 4 door you really need to do all 4 doors or just dont bother at all cuz it will look dumb with just the front 2 shaved. I dont know about cheaper unless you do your own body work cuz to get someone to put a filler plate over the old handle hole, weld it in, grind it down, smooth it out, prime it, paint it, color blend it, it ends up costing a lot. your basically repainting 4 doors. I bet shaving 4 door handles ends up costing more then lambos(assuming you do the lambos your self, and pay someone for the body work for the shaved door handles)

Actually some of the sheet metal adhesives are now stronger than the sheet metal itself when used properly. I have been to more than a few Loctite workshops (we use a bunch of their products) and I was amazed at how strong some of their adhesives actually are. Not to mention the newer body fillers hold up much better than what used to be used.

ya, saw an episode on "TRUCKS" I think where they did that for cab corners and or a rocker panel, no welding. But it might be just as good but whatever. My point was that it wont cost any less to do the non welding route due to the fact that the paint is what costs a lot when shaving door handles.

Oh definitely, no question that the paint is the most expensive part, but if you can do it without a welder, that opens things up to a LOT more people. DIY the filling and surface prep and save even more.

Heck, I may use adhesive in the exposed areas when I hang the new rear quarters on my Chevelle just because there is no chance of warping the sheet metal. I'll still weld any non-exposed areas.
