I know what you mean and I agree. With both of my vehicles being black, the wet shine looks better to me. The Gold Class did seem to last a bit longer though. Although neither of them last as long as TurtleWax ICE, but ICE doesn't fill in the light scratches like a true wax does.

I use Meguiar's clay bar first and then Mequiar's Gold Class wax. Makes my truck look and feel like new.
