It's the by-law, or bacon bits, or town cops, or local cops, whatever they happen to be called, that are generally harder to deal with... At the time I had a '93 civic- headers, test pipe, cat-back, CAI. That car was loud but regardless I was within the speed limit, wearing my seatbelt, and using my turn signals. A cop pulls me over literally 1 block from my job and tells me that my exhaust was "too loud" and was going to give me a ticket. Now technically I knew that he could have given me several- illegal vehicle mod, noise pollution, etc. But me being the smartass that I am asked him "what device he used to measure the decible output of my car, because I knew for a fact that it was under 86db, the legal limit." Of course I was screwing with him but it actually worked. He went to his car, and flipped through a book. When he came back he told me to get a new muffler and have a nice day. Now go figure,  my bike is de-baffled and backfires like a mother and Ive only had cops look at me and nod thus far. (in reply to 5.7Lblazer) Post #: 26
