RCMP is usually pretty good, as long as you're nice and polite, you'll get a warning...

It's the by-law, or bacon bits, or town cops, or local cops, whatever they happen to be called, that are generally harder to deal with... I swear, those guys are on commission! lol

yea cops in co are pretty bad. and open headers on my z28 was VERY loud but when i saw the 5 0 around it would put in nutral and cost it past, this was only temporary as my cat had become so clogged that the car would not run so i had to cut it out and wait for my new magnaflow cat to come in.

funny thing i actualy had it dynoed while running the open headers, that was pretty insane, i called the dude ahead of time to make sure it would be ok, he said "we test race cars here" he was super cool about it, all the guys from the shop next door peeked in to c what it was.

About a year ago I was driving to work on a Sunday morning. At the time I had a '93 civic- headers, test pipe, cat-back, CAI. That car was loud but regardless I was within the speed limit, wearing my seatbelt, and using my turn signals. A cop pulls me over literally 1 block from my job and tells me that my exhaust was "too loud" and was going to give me a ticket. Now technically I knew that he could have given me several- illegal vehicle mod, noise pollution, etc. But me being the smartass that I am asked him "what device he used to measure the decible output of my car, because I knew for a fact that it was under 86db, the legal limit." Of course I was screwing with him but it actually worked. He went to his car, and flipped through a book. When he came back he told me to get a new muffler and have a nice day. Now go figure,  my bike is de-baffled and backfires like a mother and Ive only had cops look at me and nod thus far.
