Well the car is a 93 Blazer 4.3L and I'm having some trouble here. The car has a very poor idle quality, but it seems to clear up when I rev it. It also has a stalling problem, when the car does stall it takes about 5-10 min before it will start back up again. Anybody have any suggestions? BTW, the egr valve looks clean. HELP!!

I would check your FPR also the Computerized Engine Control System

and seeing as you have an ODB I setup, you can pull the codes yourself so that you can post those too.

Oddly enough, there was no codes! Where is the fuel pressure regulator located? Am I just checking for fuel at the vacuum line?

I remember hearing about leaks at the fuel lines/injectors or something like that. Do you have to take the upper and lower manifold off to access these, or is it just the upper manifold?

If it only happens when its in gear, I would look at that TCC for the trany.

If it happens even in park then it could be just about any part dealing with the fuel system. From the injectors to the ACC to the Fuel pump

Can you add more to when its doing this?

It doesn't really happen at any specific time, it just stumbles and runs very poorly, and after a few minutes of driving it will just stall. I don't think its the TCC because it won't start in park or neutral after it stalls, it will just keep cranking until you let it sit for a few minutes. I'm going to get a fuel pressure gauge on monday and see whats going on there. What should the fuel pressure read on this engine?

Agree, with yours I dont think it would be the TCC.
Did you try letting the truck idel in park for about the same amount of driving time it takes for it to stall out?
This would help in a trouble code showing up. And where is the gas gage sitting at when this happens? (1/4, 1/2, 1/3, full)

When it does this in park do you have to switch to N and rev it to get it to stop acting up?

The problem is there regardless of how much fuel is in the tank, but the converter sounds like it could be a problem too. For the past few months, the cat would stink after any kind of hard acceleration. Hopefully the bolts arn't too rusty, maybe I can drop the cat and take it for a spin and see if the problem is still there.

it could be the fuel lines internal in the upper manifold leaking or the more common FPR leaking down the passenger side..Do you have the CPI or the TBI manifold. The CPI would have the internal fuel lines (nut kit) that would leak. If you have to replace FPR get the Nut kit too they are inexpensive compared to pulling the upper intake a second time to fix them...The FPR hangs off the fuel injector metering block (spider) on the passenger side they have updated versions that are replaceable. It is possible that the poppets are leaking or the metering block o-rings. Then you will have no choice but to fix or replace the metering block. Some newer blocks have an o-ring kit available to the mechanic that would fix any leaks not sure if your year is the same...

Well I just pulled the intake off and I found a small puddle on the passanger side of the intake. It looks like it was leaking from the regulator. I found the Delco spider injector kit for $200 and the feed and return lines for another $50. I just ordered them, so I hope this takes care of my problem. Thanks for everybodys help!!
