The automatic tranny in our '97 Blazer self-destructed at 110K miles, but I suspect it suffered from lack of fluid changes before we got it (sludge in the crankcase was evidence of maintenance lacking). That vehicle is gone - replaced with a '99 Cherokee.

Our '99 Blazer has 118K miles on it and has had regular tranny power flushes. I'm wondering what I can expect for longevity.

How far have YOU gone without needing to rebuild the automatic tranny in your Blazer?

I got about 120,000 miles on my 99 blazer right now. It probably needed a tranny rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago.  I'm going to make it last since I've only driven it for about 2,000 miles. I put the revised TCC in just to help it last longer. 4L60E are one of the top ten most rebuilt transmission. yikes!

116k so far. I had a little scare at 105k when I noticed a leak and I couldn't get reverse, but as soon as I drained the fluid and changed the filter it was all better. I'm not so sure about the flush thing...especially after 100k. I heard too many horror stories regarding failing trannies after a major flush. Or you can always talk about my good friend at work with a 98' that has needed three rebuilds so far. (86k) He got a used lemon of the lot and won't admit his mistake, so he'll just keep thowing money at it.

165K  Hard delayed shift from first to second.  Other then that it's fine. Hey remember this trany is designed to handle the torque of a V8.

My friend just bought a 95 blazer that had a little over 214K with little maintenance done to it and it still shifts well.
