im wondering what gears i should get i have a 350 in a 85 S10 blazer and i am setting it up for drag
im looking at 373 gears any suggestions on the gears and any other ways i can add power

3.73s or 4.10s will work great for ya... a 350 is a lot of power in a light truck... even with 3.42s or 3.08s you'd be pretty damned quick

yah that is what im aiming for outrageous power havent seen any S10 blazers set up for drag around here in Warner robins, GA

were is the best place to get them from summit is the only place that comes to mind

ight  im ready to get them gears but i need a paint job bad that is prolly what im getting this month and headers and gears next month

I'm running 4.10s with a 4L60E tranny and 3000 stall lock up convertor with an LS1 motor

still get 22 MPG and the first gear is much better than when I had 3.42s. although I used to get 24 MPG.

I have had limited success with GM rears, although other peoples run them just fine. Something to consider before spending money on gears and getting them set up, look around for a factory rear with the gears you want.

You can also play temporarily with the tire size, mount some 24 inch vs 27. That is essentially a 10% gear change just like going from 3.4 to 3.70's approx
