alright guys, i have a problem and it's a stupid one, but i'm just not sure how to fix it.  i have a 2001 blazer Lt i have the fog lights built in next to the turn signal and below the headlight. i just bought some new bulbs and was able to put the low beams in, but i can't seem to figure out how to get the fog light housing off to change it's bulbs as well any idea on what i should be looking for to take out the housing? help is greatly appreciated
thanks!

If you remove the headlamp housings is there enough room to access the fog light socket from the space vacated by the headlamp housing?

If not, you may have to remove the grill.  It just snaps into the radiator core support, but just start to pull on one side near the fender and work your way around.  You should be able to get to them.

i tried that but it was sticking right in the middle with the chevy emblem, should i just pull it straight off? cause it's just flimsy plastic i don't wanna break it, and no there's not enough room behind the fog to get to the bulb once i pull off the headlight housing. you'd think chevy would've made this easier

I'm just going from memory here, but I believe there are 8 total spring clips that hold the grill on.

I'm sure there is something that is being missed but I cannot think of it right now...  I have changed these bulbs before without incident, however I cannot conjure up the memory of these instances...

Just keep your hands near where the clips are and you shouldn't have any trouble with the grill.  I don't know how many times I've man-handled the grill on my Bravada for one reason or another and it hasn't broke on me yet, *knock on wood*.

Then again, if it were to break, it be more of a motivator for me to find a black Jimmy grill to stuff with a custom chrome billet insert with the Olds logo in it.  LOL

On the bottom of the grill piece with the bowtie in it, near the center, there's two notches... I use those as handles... They're just big enough for my hands to fit, to get a grip on them...

When you put the bulbs in use some sort of protection to keep from touching the glass on the bulb. Since they are a halogen bulb they generate lots of heat in the bulb and your fingers have a layer of "oil" on them that when the light heats up it cracks/breaks the glass of the bulb. You could use a sock or rag if you should feel the need to touch the glass...but the way these bulbs fit into the sockets you should not have to touch the glass...

thanks for the tip, but i learned that one years ago from the old man    but back to the bulbs when i recieved the bulbs they were moving around freely in the container and theone had a small chip at the top of the bulb. day after installation, it burnt out.  it happens, but what ya gonna do. i received and email on how to return the bulbs and get my new ones.  i should have em by the middle of next week hopefully

Well then at least you did not cause the failure. I would think twice if they can't pack the bulbs better to leave them rattling around loose...

ahhhhh
Those're good bulbs, I had a pair in my old Z34, I normally order from www.eautoworks.com for my bulb needs... They don't have the JDM yellow H3's in stock, it seems...

I had them in my low beams...

You can always order from the Luminics website...

I think I might go HID for the next set... Expensive... But HID rocks... www.coolbulbs.com has a pretty good policy... 90 day trial period, and if you don't like them, return 'em for a free refund...
