But flagstaff sux and it doesnt snow really for crap up there. Now Pinetop, that snows like crazy and can get near impossible to drive to durring some months. Nothing but ice ruts and snow drifts because no one really visits there in the winter and it never gets any plow truck service, ever. Does make for some fun snow romping (Dale was grinning from quarter panel to quarter panel last time we went). Now of course i still say the best snow is in Wisconsin but eh, i got a bias. Plus where im from we have a lake fed by the mississippi that freezes really solid, and is well marked as to what is solid, and is a blast to just go flying across.

Yeah I love the UP winters. Then I go back home for christmas break and people freak about having an inch or 2 on the roads. I am trying to do doughnuts and side slides and they are freaking out. I routinely drove in 6" on the road this winter at school in Houghton, MI. Also getting in and out of the campus parking lots was fun, they plow the middle but it stacks up 1-4 feet behind/infront of the vehicles. Everyone else is digging with a shovel and getting stuck and I just brush the snow off the blazer to be able to see, hop in crank the heater and drive out in 4x4hi Since i park it that way so that I will be able to get out, most of the time I was in 2hi and never got stuck. I love having the blazer up here. Also I took a trip up to Copper Harbor, MI (~50miles one way) and it just sticks out into Lake Superior I was drivng on the high way thru drifts 1-3 foot high, bad visibility and all that. Then when I got there there were 4-5 foot drifts on the road and noone was out and about. It was sort of eriey. Can't wait for the snow to fly, I am getting tired of it being 80-90 and humid with no AC in my room or anywhere else on campus for the most part.
