my freind has a 98 blazer 4.3L auto

the rpm gauge jumps all over the place if u nail the throttle, it is jsut the gauge that shoots all around and the engine dosent
but if you go easy on it it clims normally with the engine

also when you nail the throttle the engine sounds like its going to bog out and stall but dosent
but when easied on the throtle it goes normally

there were a 3 engine codes but we cleared them by reseting the ecu

they were P0341, P0340, there was a third but i dont remeber

we just replaced the fuel filter and it helped a little as did resetting the ecu

any ideas???
