I know there was a Warner Bros. edition of the Venture... If there's an SS it's a dealer only option, or something the person put on the van...

Man, I swear to god that they exist. I see them down here occasionally, I told my friend about them and he called me the other day saying he saw one. He lives in Missouri. Next time I see one I'll try to remember and get a pic.

Dealers randomly make special packages for random cars...

I don't know about anywhere else, but for awhile we had Cobolt SS-V's here...

Probaly just someone putting a SS badge on the van.  Just because it has a badge doesnt mean it is what it says.  Maybe I should put a SS badge on my Blazer and sell it as one and jack up the price to like 15k or something like that.

I think they're a dealer suplied thing, whatever the reason, it's dumb. It's a minivan. As for the Cobalt's, those stupid little Cobalt SS's run around here all the time and when they pull up next to me they feel the need to rev like a ricer and make me sick.

Agreed, i once saw a golfcart with a triton V-10 badge on it.  Same concept.  That was actually one of the funnier things i've seen regarding golf carts, and i'm an immature golf course employee.

Have you done wheelies on them?  I saw some people do this at the drag strip once. It was pretty funny, scrapping the rear bumbers for about 100 feet.

I also worked for a city that we got to drive golf carts.  I rolled it once and I was riding passanger when someone else rolled it.  Getting air with them, doing burnouts, taking the govenor off etc.

I loved my Astro AWD.  Drives like a car, spacious as far as minivans go, and has a lot of pickup.  It actually is more responsive then my Blazer.  Only time the Blazer gets a little more get up and go is above the 70 mph mark, which I really don't drive that fast anyway.  Only reason I am selling the Astro is I needed a bigger van for work and had to go full size.  I haven't driven the Ventures, but I was  never ashamed to drive the Astro and wish I could keep it.  This is it:

I'm trying to get in the neighborhood of $2500 for it locally.  I talked with a supervisor I know at a local cable contracting company, to let him know I am looking to sell.  His techs all need their own vans, so hopefully one calls.  I told him I'd throw in the 28' extension ladder for free.  So we'll see.  I will really miss it though.
