I just really like pics so I thought I would share a couple of mine.  How I pickued up the motor a couple weeks ago.  I might be able to test fit the engine this weekend.  Still lots more to do to the engine though like PS, alts, clean carb etc.

k wait im kind of confused,
so which one is yours?
or is that like before and after pictures?
but for my transfer case i have no idea wat they did to it
costed $400 for it
i think they might have just replaced some parts that were worn down
but for my transmission that costed 1800
they put in a new clutch and torque converter and stuff
i just told the guy to get it up to V8 standards so i hope it is haha

Hah, ya it's the same engine.  I changed out the valve covers for the ones I already had powder coated candy purple.  I bought a new Edelbrock Performer RPM intake to replace the single plane weiand intake.  Of course the 4x4 specific conversion oil pan.  I put on 1 header and 1 adapter plate for the pics.  That's what it cost me for my tranny too.  I was told not to worry about the tcase unless I destroy it.  The engine was built to handle over 7000rpm and over 400hp.  As long as I can push it to 6k and has around 350hp/350 tq I will be happy.

I've been gathering parts for just under a year.  I've bought the pan and adapters off an ebay auction.  The headers are advanced adapters slickfit headers I bought used off an s10 forum member.  I did order a couple things from JTR.  I placed an order online but I never heard anything for weeks so I called them.  So if you are ordering from them, just call right away.  I got the shipment rather fast too.  I only ordered from them the upper radiator support brackets, and the polyurethane 2.8L frame mount inserts.

Well your truck was a 4.3 right?  So you could probably use that.  Being as my truck was a 2.8 I just went right to the corvette rad.  I've read that the 4.3 radiator does just fine.  If your rad is old and maybe in need of replacing in the near future, I would get the corvette rad now.

Being able to powder coat things is great.  I mean yea it makes things look nice, but I it also protects too.  Pretty well everything that I powder coat is either done hot, or has 2 coats.  So it's like deluxe special treatment for me. ;)  I didn't powder coat the block or water pump as those are rattle canned.  The headers, oil pan, intake, motor mounts, bolts, washers are all done though.  Pretty much anything I can do, I do.

The rad was bought off ebay as well.  It's a genuine GM Corvette rad.  The ones that JTR sell will work perfect.  How much did you sell your old engine for?  I hope that you didn't have the 2.8 tranny rebuilt....

i sold my engine and transmission for 800 to this guy and he even took them out of the truck for me so it was nice
hahah no that would be terrible if i got the 2.8 tranny rebuilt!
i would cry haha
but no i got a 700r4 out of a 91 4.3L blazer
i bought the 91 blazer for 700 and i took out the tranny and transfer case and so many misc. parts
oh and i got my wheels off that blazer too
so it was a pretty good deal.
i bought a distributer and clear distributer cap off ebay a couple days ago
im excited to see it, with the clear cap aparently u can see all the sparks and stuff
its supposed to look amazing at  night

I pulled my old 2.8 + tranny myself and sold it for $100.  I was lucky to get that, ha.  The dizzy you bought is it a standard size or a little smaller?

Ok so I am still working on it here and there.  Here's what I have done recently.  Installed the torsion bars, torsion mount, lower control arms, upper arms, knuckles, calipers, sway bar, ball joints.  All of the parts have been powder coated of course.  I also installed new pro comp ES9000 shocks along with a pro comp steering stabilizer.  So the front end now has a full set of E.S. poly bushings, new moog ball joints, new calipers, new ATE rotors, stainless steel braided brake lines, bendix pads & seals.  I am waiting for my new tie rod adjuster sleeves to come in and then I will remove and paint the tie rod ends.  Not going to replace them as they are already moog's problem solvers.

At this point I just ordered in some more pieces for the engine.  From Summit: Crane universal Firewire's spark plug wires, wire loom kit, fuel filter, Percey's aluminum header gaskets, stage 8 header bolts.  I also ordered from db electrical 2 200 amp HO alternators.  Also ordered 2 alt brackets made by Alan Grove.  Lastly from Bill's Hot Rod Company a 300 series power steering pump bracket.  Here are a couple pics of what will stop (hopefully) the new 350.

Looks good man.  Will look even better once it's all together and installed. =)  I went to the wreckers yesterday and got a non A/C heater box.  Just need to find out how to wire it in.  Today I was running around trying to find a couple things for the rad hoses (reducers and a splicer) and nobody around here has anything.  What a joke.  So I will be calling JTR tomorrow I guess.
