Just came in from outside and it fired right up after cranking for like 3 seconds. Still lots more to do and more wiring, but at least I heard it run and it was sweet.

Just a short video clip. Engines cold, still need to get some parts in so I can hook up my fan. Choke is on so it idles a little high, timing not set.

nice thats wicked man!
i got a couple things done today
got my carb and air cleaner on.
all my spark plugs and distributer cap on there
gas line hooked up to carb
oil dipstick put in
got rad support ready for paint
and inner aprons ready for paint
couple pics here...

Blazin_Jason that video is awesome do you have a set roll date to take it for a test drive yet???

I can't wait to see a video of both rolling down the street maybe doin a few donughts LOL!!

When it's done it's done. Really shooting to be driving in this summer though. I will probably toss a couple days insurance on it once the motor is all dealt with. Get it aligned, checked at the tranny shop, and maybe exhaust.
Mojo looking good buddy. Just keep plugging away at it, august will be here soon. ;)

nah ours were both 2.8L's
but hey jason did you end up swapping out your rear diff?
i've been thinking about dropping in a posi but my main focus right now is just on getting my truck moving
so just curious to see if u left it stock or not.

Ya I left mine stock. When I had the cover off it looked to be in really good shape. Cleaned it up, tossed in some royal purple and hopefully it lasts for a while. It already has 4.11's and limited slip from the factory. Hopefully the old 2.8 wasn't too rough on it =) I know that my weak points will be the diffs and tcase. As long as I'm not stupid about it, they should hold up just fine for my purpose (knocks on wood).

ya i actually did the same with mine,
it looked really quite clean and as long as im not going to be pulling any tokyo drifts then it should be fine
im not going to pull any one wheel burnouts so it should last a while anyways (knocks on wood) ;)
