Hey folks not sure how to describe this annoying problem. But on a random basis the normal exhaust sound on my black beauty increases in volume to the point that it will drown out the radio on acceleration. Normal driving habits (senior citizen type) and when you least expect it the tone changes. No barking, no leaks, does it generally when it's hot. In town, outa town it don't matter. Drove 800 km not a sound and then it started. Doesn't matter what speed, in gear, in neutral, moving, at an idle, after a restart. Did it for the next 100km and then after a 25 minute park I started it and its been okay for a week. This gem also averages 450k to the low fuel light so it must be running okay. After 30 years of twisting wrenches I never heard anything like this. No codes stored and I can't make it do it, it just happens. Any help would be appreciated as this baby runs like a dream except when you least expect it it's noisy as hell. Not the way a loaded LS with 165k should sound. Everybody I've talked to just gives me that look seniors get and shakes their head. Oh yeah, I'm not doin any drugs.........yet!

Check the manifold bolts... maybe they've worked themselves loose... Heck, check all the bolts in the exhaust system, somethings probably loose there...If not... then I'm out of ideas at the moment, lol
