84 k5 8" what all is needed???? - 5/9/2007 7:16:28 PM showPicture("5/9/2007 7:16:28 PM",0,0,0,79311,11) blown99z28 titleAndStar(2,0,0,false,"","") New Member Posts: 2 Joined: 5/9/2007 Status: online i just got an 84 was stock switched to 33's then 3" body lift and 35's. now i got a 72 frame and running gear w 8 in susp lift and 39.5 boggers....wanting to use all i can from it on the k5....put front and rear axles in. braided brake lines, rear springs (affter moving perches out 1.25" each and tried to put front springs but seem to be too short (any way to use em?). will i need to drop transfer case? if so how much? what about drive shafts? will 4:56's be enough gear?also have 40x17x15 ground hawgs...wich tires would you run? i have very little money to spend but i really want to get this thing going...any help is very appreciated! Nice looking truck, I wish I could help but...... Have you measured the springs? Would installing longer shackles work?
