Hey guys, I am new to the site, and I was reading some of the posts lately, and I thought I wouls aks a question. I have a '98 blazer 4door and I want a more aggressive look. I love lifts, but here is my issue. when I called the local 4x4 center they were saying that even with a 5inch BDS suspension lift and a 2inch Body lift, the most I can run are 31's. Is this true? If I am going to spend this kinda money, I would want at least 33's. But they are saying it would take some serious body mods to do so. I would be fine with the 31's, but they say even just the body lift will only allow 30's. Some of you have said yes, some no, does anyone have experince with this?

i got 255/70(30x10) on mine and it stock right now and they do rub a little. with a 2inch lift you will b able to clear 31's.

I'm running 30x9.5s on my Blazer perfectly fine... And I have no lift at all, so unless you've got a 2wd, or major suspension sag, you can fit 30s no problem.

even superlift's website reccomends 32x11.50's with a 6 inch on a non-ZR2 blazer..lol I run 30x9.50's with no mods and no problems.... u can easily fit 33's with 6 inches and 2 inches body lift... maybe trim the fenders a bit but u should be fine..

^^^^^^what he said. But in all honesty with that much lift you should be able to clear 35's with minor trimming. The 4x4 shop you went to was being really conservative and doesnt know what they are talking about. Myself i run 31's on barely 2 inches of lift with minimal rubbing that i could fix with a body saw and some fender flares.

I knew I wasn't crazy. I would go all out on the lift if I could get what I wanted. So where should I look for the best quality parts for the best prices? Is there a web site? and when you guys talk about cutting, what are you talking about? The whole fenders or just the corners of the bumpers, just curious.

I dont think there is a best place to get parts but i can make some suggestions. First off for the suspension lift i would recommend going superlift over bds (its an inch more clearance) and getting it from summit. Lots of stuff in stock and free shipping, not too shabby. For the body lift you can do ebay or www.synergyoffroad.com. The body lift is made by performance accessories and you should be able to find it easy. As for trimming, to the best of my understanding its just cutting the bottom of the fender well at an angle at the front and back of it. Mostly just install everything, get a body saw and just turn the wheel lock to lock, and look for clearance issues and start cutting. For more info on that stuff i say PM Jigg. I hate to keep referring people to him but hes got the most built rig that i know of and he knows exactly what to cut.
