The hardest part is going to be the headlight switch, and getting the LED's aimed properly to light up the whole thing...

Make sure to get wide angle LED's Here is the ebay store that I got my LED's from... Shipping was quick, too

Cool, thanks drperry. I'm going to get me some of those. I changed my mind to the blue ones on my way home from work today when I saw the numbers were blue on my gauges. Which ones of the panels opened up easy so you can change the bulbs and which ones did you have to drill holes into. Do you have any tips to make it a little easier?

Well, since you're using LED's instead, they're entirely too directional to put in the place where the original bulb was... The wiper one is the easiest...

I'll go pop the panels out and take some pics, after I'm done converting the latest batch of movies from my adventures today...

Cool. I'm thinking of when I drill the holes to get the led's in, I would look for some small rubber corks or grommets or something and poke a hole through and fit the bulb in there kinda like it looks like it's meant to be there and not like a McGyver job, ya know. Do you think this would work. I like clean wiring and stuff, not stuff going here and there and everywhere. Okay, I admit it. I am a perfectionist lol.

You'll need about 2 LED's for each panel

And if you use the right sized drill bit/knife technique, the LED is held firmly in place by the plastic ;)

Well, it took me awhile, and since I don't know if editing a post sends out notifications for people...

Here's what the back of my wiper and 4x4 switches now look like...

In the pics, where the wire enters the housing, is that where the LED actually stays or do you snap off the rear cover and put them in elsewhere?

That's where the LED actually stays...

With the exception of the left set of wires on the 4x4 switch, that one is mounted inside, so as to give a more complete light up of the buttons...

Anyone know about the power window and locks light panel. I have some out and was thinking of trying this to them too, I am going to pull it apart today since I couldn't see last night. I'll post pics if I do anything to them.

Do you think this is possible too with the switches on the doors for the power windows and locks.  The back doors don't light up.  I think I might try this on my day off next week.  I haven't tinkered around with my tryck lately and I'm anxious to do so.  I have my door plates coming and I am going to change my brake pads and belt.

I've got a set of switches and such kicking around, I'll try and find them, and take a peak, to see if it can be done...

I need to find where everything plugs in, on the door... All the fuses and stuff seem to be in there already, lol, just gotta install stuff...

Edit: I took a peek! And it's surprisingly easy... Actually mounting the LED's is going to be a little harder, but, if you look at the bottom of the arm rest, you can see the bulb holders... There's a smaller grey one for the lock button.

It seems like I can replace a bulb in the drivers side power windows set but the others seem pretty tough to get the actual switches changed, if you can do it, it looks to be all custom work. I'll give it a try. Oh and everywhere I took the lightbulb actually in the switch noone had seen one like it before and could not find it on the computers, so it looks like either a custom job or a trip to the dealership.

Oh and my rear door window switches light up at night, but I don't see how/if I will be able to replace the colors in those.

The windows and lock bulb on the drivers side are easy, and the passenger side looks to be easy as well, the lock light might be a little different...

And I can't comment on the back doors... since I'm a 2 door, and the switches I have are for a 2 door...

Yeah I just ordered these online Ebay LED link. Should be getting them soon and should be able to do them easily, I figured them out on the door locks. from what i can tell the rear window switches do not light up so i might have to make that custom. I think for now I will stick with the front though. I'll post pics once i get them installed. and maybe me and drperry and whoever else can contribute to a how to post.

Also drperry, how did you mount your led's in the switches? I was thinking some sort of epoxy or something. Also where did you hook up the power to?

I haven't actually done the switches yet, because they're not ready to go into my truck... I've gotta get the power locks and stuff installed into my vehicle, then I'll have to either make my own switch, or butcher the arm rest, or have a different color switch panel...

Well, finally got around to the heater controls... Turns out, blue LED's don't work so well, when using just the standard bulb holders, as they don't have enough of a spread, so I had to add a couple...

Also, the rear defrost button has it's own separate light, and I put an LED in there too, that's why it's uber bright...
