Sorry, must have missed this thread.

I don't know of anyone on the forum with a 44. A friend of mine has the super 44 on  his 96 Camaro V6 and it really doesn't sound any louder than the super 40 he used to have. It has a more 'glass-pack'like sound than the 40 but other than that there is little difference. I wish they made a Delta 44... that would sound good!

Its a matter of opinion... Flow percentages are but 40% better than stock The only difference is the Super 40 is incased in ceramic coating and has slighly smaller dampening dams in the mid chamber
Here are cutaways for comparison.
SUPER 40

DELTA 40

I have the Delta. I'll try to shoot a vid for you either today or tomorrow...
The Delta has less interior noise and slightly less exterior noise than the Super.

I guess its different strokes for different folks, but I never could understand why someone buys a loud muffler and don't want to hear it...  but I guess its just me..
BTW I'll post the exhaust vid tomorrow, I'll have to upload it first.

*edit*
Uploaded quicker than I thought.  Here is the link: Click me

Its not the greatest quality camera. Thats not what it actually sounds like inside because the rear window was open and the windows were down... but while you are driving with the windows down, the wind actually drowns it out.  Just trying to give you an idea of what it sounds like.

Mine  costed around $200 total, but I got it at a reduced price for a repeat customer.
These prices are from Tony's muffler in Goldsboro, NC.

Muffler:                                                   $75-85
Custom bent 2.75" aluminized pipe:               $70
Stainless Tip (depends on brand, style etc.):  $20-40
Installation:                                              $75

Total projected cost:                                 $240-270

Rate may vary by shop.

So out of the flowmaster delta 40, super 40, and magnaflow, which will be louder in and out of my 95 4 door?

out of those? The Flowmasters are equally loud. The Delta has a rich deep tone with a 2500-3000 cold RPM peak, The Super 40 has 4% more flow than the Delta, and has a slightly less quiet interior with a deep aggressive idle with a deep rich accel. The Magnaflow will be a bit louder but has less flow.

Does the flow effect more performance than sound? It seems to me that what I want, which is something louder and deeper, that maybe the super 40 is the way to go? I'm looking for something that has a good rumble in idle, but will also sound good if I punch the gas. Also, I know this is out of place, but does putting an aftermarket air intake make the engine sound more throaty? I know the flow is better with say a K&N than it would be with a stock intake.

I highly doubt that.  Do you have any proof(flow wise)?

Sorry that was a typo. I meant to say it has slightly LESS quiet interior.  I edited and restated it the way I meant to state it to begin with...

You can hear a slight whistle if its and unsheilded intake, but by being an unsheilded intake, it defeats the purpose of what its used for... to pull cold air. I hear intake noise from mine on a cool day, but its generally hard to hear over the radiator fan.

use the edit function... don't double post

Anyway, Delta 40 is about the best for the money... if you want a quieter interior.
I don't think they have stainless... get the aluminized and paint it with high heat spray paint.
