if your looking for power, you need some internal modifications, if you want small boost, its ok. check this site, www.campbellautomotive.com check out their turbo systems on s 10 typhoons, putting out 28psi 800hp. yes not cheap, I priced it out, almost 35000.

LOL @ 35k!!!!!@#!@#$@#%@#

im sorry guys i still dont see the need for internal mods considering i have run 14psi of boost through my COMPLETEY STOCK LONG BLOCK BS 4.3L. The turbo seals went so i just sent the turbo off to get rebuilt (60-1 compressor w/ .82 a/r turbine :D) I ran 14psi through it for about 5, 1/4 mile runs and the 2 weeks after that. Then i turned it back down to 11psi. I have run 8 to 11psi daily for the past year with no worries. The truck isnt even tuned properly (it has a very very safe 10psi base tune) Truck runs great. @ 10psi i am dead even with an EVO VIII (that has a turboback i might add :D) if your looking for a weekend warrior that runs low low 13's on a 110* track temp day then just add 13psi

the 96+ motors are supposedly the weaker engines and mine has been fine on 10psi. If you do internals just get a nice set of heavy duty JE pistons 8.5:1, total seal rings, Eagle H-beams and get the stock crank cryotreated with 4-bolt mains and ARP hardware everywhere. That shouldnt put you back more then $6k.... Then if you want to get fancy a nice 2114 EFI set-up- $2000. Head work/valvetrain/cam- $2k.

i wouldnt be afraid to run 550-600whp on htis set-up because thats the set-up im going to.

JDB on s10forum is running 420whp on stock bottom end. COMPLETLY STOCK.

i had to build my entire turbokit. Its rearmount and it works great. they dont make turbokits for your year jimmy. Arent 94's TBI? or CFI? or w/e..... i would jsut do an extra injector set-up or FMU for anything under 10psi + a walbro fuel pump. and only run 5 or 6psi intercooled because of the age of the motor.
