I have a 1978 K5 4wd blazer with manual trans. I dropped a new motor in it, put on a new clutch on the transmission and now cannot get the Trans to shift into any of the gears. The blazer wasn’t running when I bought it so I am unsure if maybe something is mechanically wrong with the transmission…..It just wants to grind going into every gear….Ideas?

Yeah, it sounds like the trans may need rebuilding or replacing. Check the stick linkage, and make sure the changer isn't stripped.

How does the clutch feel?
If you put it in gear, step on the clutch, is it actually disengaged? If it's ok and you engage the clutch, does it move ok?
I'm wondering if it's possible that the clutch disc was installed backwards.
