Gotta like it. I like the early ones a little more, till 67. My brother had one like yours, either 70 or 71 can't remember with a 307 though. Still was a nice car.

You can tell a '70 from a '71 or '72 very easily... The '70 was the only year in that body style with the quad headlights. In '71 they went to the one headlight per side with the turn signals mounted to the outside of them at the corner.

Yeah I'm 99% sure it was a 70, but they haven't had it for a while now. Then were the 72's with 2 piece markers? I remember something like that to tell the difference between the 71s and 72.

I do believe that the '71 marker lights, while being 1 piece, were split with a horizontal bar separating the lower and upper sections, matching the grill which also had 1 horizontal bar splitting the upper & lower sections much the same as the '70 grill. Great Kyle, keep us posted on it. I'll have to take some pictures of my dad's 67 RS/SS Camaro when we are finished restoring it. I'll also have to take some pictures of my uncle's 69 SS 396 Chevelle.

I'd love to find a set of early '90's Taurus SHO seats to put in the front simply because they are the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in. One large problem is that these seats would not allow for proper access to the rear seat. For right now I'll probably just get factory buckets for the front and do it up in reproduction vinyl again. Again, in an effort to keep it as cheap as possible to get back to new or like-new components. My ultimate goal is to have a fuel injected 350 running twin turbos just to be different. At that point, I'll need to revise the whole drivetrain to be able to handle the mill. I'll be looking for HP in the 600-700 range with torque above 600ftlbs out of a lowly smallblock!! *EDIT* - UPDATE!! Well, it is simply amazing what a wash will do. Most of the pics still have water on the surfaces, but with some polish and wax, the finish would come right back. This is a single stage paint that has been sitting for 10 years! 10 more pictures added to the album. Tomorrow will have even more! I hope to have the front clip, doors, and trunk all off tomorrow!!
