I have a 1998 C 1500 pickup. My windshield wipers have a mind of their own. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. When they do not work, I can turn the switch on or hit the wash switch and you can hear a low pitched buzzing sound but thats it. When they do work you cannot hear this sound. What could my problem be??

thanks alot! i was just outside and my neighbor walked over (hes a gm mechanic) he showed me what to do...lol thanks for the help
