Me and RCars2 were chattin today, and I had a good idea strike me.

I think maybe we should have a Ride of the Year voting at the end of every year, comprised of the winners of the 12 ROTMs.

What does everyone think?

Goes without saying but im game for that. Would be kinda interesting. Plus nominations would be effortless and they are already picked, LOL.

Yeah, I have been planning on doing this, but then there was the site shuffle with moving sections, etc, etc...

Yeah, this sounds like a good idea. What would happen for the winner other than being named Truck of the year, if anything (ie.  BlazerForum decals, or something else along that line)?

What just being ROTY isnt enough, now you need material things? LOL. That would be kinda cool though, especially if it was a specific sticker or decal that said you were that years ROTY.......if i got it i would display it under my hood with all my other decals (flowmaster, K&N, superlift, etc)

No being ROTY would be awesome, but I thought maybe there could be a little extra recoginition or something like that. I like the year decal cause that would be one of a kind. I would definately find a place on the outside to put that, not under the hood (although a good place if you are in car shows and have the hood popped, and a fine place for the K&N and flowmaster stickers).

Your truck featured on the homepage for a year? Maybe elevated member status? Maybe a picture of your Blazer photoshopped and put at the top of the page opposite the Red 2 door?

Yeah those are all good ideas. That are for the most part free other than the time put into them.

I know this is a little off topic here but actually the reason i have them there is for the local car show that i go to back up in wisconsin when i visit (cornfest car show in holmen, wi.....i enter in the mostly stock area, for giggles). Plus also putting parts stickers on the outside of your vehicle is more or less making a shopping list for would be thieves.

Anyways back to the topic. I like the ideas. The elevated status would be neat and the picture at the top of the page would be way cool. Heck if i won i may even have to wash Dale again for a photo, LOL.

True, I am in an area where noone really cares and there isnt much theft. I have never entered a vehicle in a car show, but I would like to put the Blazer in one eventually, maybe. I was looking forward to entering a couple shows with my 94 SHO last summer and this summer, but 2 springs ago some jerk rearended me and totaled my SHO.

i think its a great idea. theres a lot of good looking blazers on here, im sure you guys wouldnt mind a little more recognition for all the work you put into them. as for mine i have to do enough work to keep it running much less worry about what it looks like too.
