so i went to the track last friday for street legals just to watch the cars run.
there was this brand spanking new 07 or 08 Z06 corvette there that looked like it came right from the dealership
it didnt run till later in the night but i stayed just to see it run cause i was curious what the 505hp could do
so hes finally lined up against this truck and they go off the line fairly even but about at half track the back end of the vette swings out and the driver couldnt correct it and smashed into the wall!
so this guy brings his brand new $100 000 corvette to the track and smashed the whole front end of it!
he was fine but his car was wrecked
god that was the best $10 i've ever spent hehe

He probably turned off the TCS too, because he had to prove that he was better, lol.

He shouldn't have had any troubles, those Roush stangs are slow as hell (for what they are) unless you get into the computer. They are quite sad really.

That sucks for the Vette guy.  You never know, the guy could have ran 600+hp cars before with no troubles, this one just bite him in the ass or hit oil.  I pray it will never happen, but know everytime I hit the juice there is a chance I will break lose.  Right now I worry more about the weak ass 10 bolt then losing it halfway down the track.

Me neither, but I just took a guess, since everything is more expensive up here.

dont know what all he had done to his roush but it wasnt slow at all,it was a 1998 model and every time you get on it from a dead stop it would broad side almost instantly and again when you hit 2nd so he would have definately been in the wall too

Sounds like your friend needed some better tires. just giving ya crap dude.  I think Mustangs are worthless unless its a 03 or 04 Cobra.  All others are slow in stock form.

I once saw a Supra literlly spin the tires down the whole 1320 and nearly put it in the wall at the finish line.  Came back next time with some drag radials and did a little better, ran a 14 at like 100 something mph.  Pretty patheatic for a 1200whp car.

The first past he like a 17-18 seconds.  The 14 second pass he didnt get on it until probably half track.  I hold by my statement that Supras are Dyno Queens, but they are one of my favorite Jap Imports.

I''ve wanted a supra for a long time now. I know their stock hp isn''t the best; but they definitely turn heads. I still hate myself for not getting my hands on a black twin-turbo for $10,800; but I was almost positive it had been used for transporting dope so I didn''t think it was worth the risk at the time. Now its hard to find one for less than 30k that I don''t have. Oh well.
