The GU6 show's that you've got 3.42 gearing in your diffs...

However, you have an open diff, so you'll probably be doing a lot of spinning...

They're kind of a mid-range gear...

Fairly decent acceleration, while still getting good mileage, due to lower RPM's on the highway...

I wouldn't worry too much about the gears until you either, go to get deep into the 1/4 mile, or get into 34" or larger tires...

Personal preference might make you want to switch to 3.73's with the larger tires, or possibly even 4.10s...

Even with the 30" tires, I can still squawk the tires shifting into 2nd gear, on clean, dry pavement...

I wouldn't reccomend gears any higher than 3.73's if it's a daily driver, unless you switch to 32" or larger tires...

I don't plan on changing my gearing, because I plan on dropping in a V8, so I'll have the oomph to turn the tires... since I also plan on eventually getting a 6" lift, 2" body lift, and running 34s... or possibly modding it even further for 35s or the ever elusive 38" ers, lol.

For 4x4ing with 32" or less tires, I don't think you'll have a problem turning them at all... At least, nothing that 4lo won't fix, lol.

Instead of changing the gearing, I'd start hunting for a locking rear diff...

You can get a mini-spool for fairly cheap, but then, that's full lock, all the time... Not good for a DD...

I'm personally saving up for an Auburn ECTED locker... A nice limited-slip locker...

Which, unless you have the 8.5" rear diff, you can't get, lol...

Yea i find my gears to be ok for now, its my suspension and tires that are killing me. I got caught high center and had to have a jeep pull me out. It sucked.

Should've gone faster! lol j/k.

Pretty much any vehicle is in danger of being high-centered...

Aside from bigger tires and lift, the only real way to prevent it is skid plates and hope, or a heavier foot, lol...

I should really get a skid plate fabbed up one of these days...

Well my tires were about 3 inches from the ground. A lift and bigger tires would have helped ALOT. Remember I'm running BFG Radials :)

LOL!

3 inches from the ground? Damn!

Should've started rockin' the truck, lol, or lifted one end or something... lol.
